Distinguished Daughters

Gail E. Terry served the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution as Vice President General 2016-2019. She served as Massachusetts DAR State Regent 2013-2016. Her motto was Sharing Our Passion for Patriotism.

 

Her State Regent's projects reflected that theme. The projects included a handicap accessible landscaped garden at the Brockton Veterans Hospital, repotting the plants in the DAR Library, the purchase of craft kits for patients at the Bedford Veterans Hospital, the purchase of a circa 1760 glass epergne for the DAR Museum, and an increase in the Massachusetts Daughters of the American Revolution, Inc. Scholarship Fund principal.

Mary E. Andrews served as Massachusetts DAR State Regent 2004-2007. Her state motto was, "Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much,"  - Helen Keller. 

 

Her State Regent's project was the refurbishment of the common living areas of the Williams and Whittemore dormitories at Hillside School. Hillside School, located in Marlborough, Massachusetts, is one of the six DAR Schools.

Marian A. Sweet served as Massachusetts DAR State Regent 1968-1970. She died on May 13, 1970, while still in office.
